Ok, so I'm finally getting around to the 5 month update (bad momma, I know) so this will kind of encompass the last month and a half. What can I say, we have a little boy on our hands. Brady is really becoming such a little man. Not only are his looks becoming less baby-like, but his mannerisms and personality just seem to be maturing. These days he is tipping the scales around 17lbs. and in his 6-9 month clothes. For being such a big boy, you'd think he'd be chowing down on cereal, fruits and veggies....nope! This month we've tried it all a handful of times and each time you'd think we were poisoning him with the faces he made. We're giving it a couple more weeks before we try again. He's back to sleeping good-- usually 8pmish till 6am, but naps are still a struggle during the day. Rarely will he nap unless someone rocks him or I feed him. That's on our "to-do" parenting list, trust me. He is still battling with eczema, but we found to keep it fairly under control with some hydrocortisone creme. I think I've taken it harder than he has.On the mobile front, yesterday he finally rolled over! (Only took 5 1/2 months you little lazy bones!) He can do belly to back pretty easily (thanks to his larger-than-average coconut, as Bob likes to call it), and if he is really persistent, he can get back to belly. A couple more weeks and we should have a pretty mobile kiddo. He can sit up on his own for anywhere from 5-30 seconds, and likes to practice on our bed where he can fall over into a pile of squishiness (bugging Bob to give me a video to upload at the moment). Also, as of this week his jolly jumper is quite the entertainer. He bounces in that thing like theres no tomorrow. Of course Bob attributes that to his genes and insists that Brady is inheriting his superb long-jumping skills. (We'll see.)
Here are a few more shots from the holiday season. Happy New Year everyone and happy 5 (and a half) month birthday little buddy! We love you!
