Fun with food

So Brady has been doing this cute thing... sticking out his tongue and trying to make noises. Cute, right? Yep, except when he does it with a mouth full of sweet potatoes!

So there is a story to this picture. Bob usually gets Brady undressed while I get his bath ready. So the past couple bath nights, we get him undressed then stand him in front of the mirror in his room and we laugh at him because he's so cute and chubby and funny looking. Brady usually laughs too. So tonight, I whip out the camera to take a pic of the baby in his funny nakedness. So literally like 2 seconds after I snap this pic-- see the photo sitting on the dresser in the bottom left corner? Well, Bob moves his hand away and Brady decides the picture is now his peeing target. Yep, peed directly on the picture of our niece Payton for about 10 seconds. We were too busy laughing, so we just let him pee on it. Ahh well.. at least then I know he was all empty and wasn't going to pee in the bath...

Happy 6 month birthday Brady!

So the little man is half a year old. Half a year. Already. Sigh. He's mastered sitting up by himself, and.. get this... he's rolling! Yes, the fat boy finally mustered up the energy to roll his big ole self over from his back to his belly. He must have gotten sick of me putting his toys *just* out of arms reach and finally decided to go and get them himself. At his 6 month appointment he was 17lbs 13 oz. and 26 inches (although by our measurements he's about an inch longer). His doctor said he looks like he's doing great. A couple of shots in the leg (thanks mom and dad for coming to the appointment for moral support) and we were on our way.

Brady's sophisticated palate now includes sweet potatoes, squash, sweet peas, peaches, banana, and applesauce. And he likes them! (Unlike the rice cereal and oatmeal..yech!) He's been eating one meal a day, but Dr. Forden gave us the ok to work him up to 2.

Here are a few shots of the birthday boy from last week:And for reference...

1 week:
It's amazing... isn't it?!?

Sitting up

Brady can now sit up by himself really well....although he still is having issues rolling over from his back to his tummy. He likes playing with his toys sitting up, and gets mad if he cant reach them. How do you like the drooling action shot?

Baby in the snow

While mama and daddy were at work, Brady was playing in the snow with Grammy and Grandpa!
