BAD mommy

I've been scolded (thanks mom). As you can see, I've been slacking big time in the blogging department. So much has been going on though, and I haven't had time...I swear!

Brady is now 10 months old. I can't believe in 2 short months he will be a year old! (!!!!!) He is into EVERYTHING. Crawling, pulling up onto everything possible, walking (with help), throwing and grabbing and opening and closing everything he can get his hands into (most of which he shouldn't)...the boy is... well, a little boy! Bob says he's a little wolverine. Seriously though, he is like a little animal! His hair is getting so long and lately he is looking so little boy-ish. No more baby here. He's now 21 lbs. and while the mobility seems to have leaned him out a bit, the kid definitely eats. He tries just about any adult food that we give him...and now requires a bit more food to become satisfied. He likes drinking from the sippy cup (then throwing it), and picking up little bits of food and feeding himself. We are still at 2 teeth, but another bottom looks like its around the corner, as well as those elusive top ones that have been holding out on us.

Some important things this past month... we had a wonderful trip to the Outer Banks, NC in April for Easter week. We stayed in a big house with my mom's whole family-- Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Gloria/Uncle Bob/Vinny/Andrea came up from Florida, Aunt Sharon/Uncle Jack/Robby, Lisa came back from college, Nick, Angela & Gianna, my parents, and us. It was such a memorable week. We celebrated Grandpa's 80th birthday, Brady learned to crawl, and we got to spend precious time together as a family. Who would have known how meaningful that time would really be until we returned home. Just a couple of days after we got back, Grandpa passed away, very unexpectedly. So, while as sad and shocking as it was, just to think that we got to spend a week together like that as a family made it seem a little more accepting.

Brady and Kaitlyn also got together this month when Dawn came home. We had the pleasure of watching the two little bumblebees. They had fun together and we are looking forward to the next get together.
