26 weeks

So here we are... the 6 and a 1/2 month mark. I can't believe that the baby still has about 6 pounds to gain. I don't know where its going to go and that worries me. Will my tummy ever look the same?
My latest preggo-related gripes are (in no particular order): lower back pain, RLS a.k.a. restless leg syndrome- which makes trying to fall asleep miserable for both myself and Bob, I'm out of breath after walking up the 2 flights of stairs at work, and a general uncomfortably "large" feeling.
Really cool preggo-related things (in no particular order): pregnancy sympathy (A few weeks ago, a guy teacher that I work with offered to take over my outdoor bus duty for the rest of the year... score!), feeling little Buddy kick around in my belly (still weird and alien-like though), and the non-stop pregnancy/baby talk that I get to have with so many of my friends and family that are pregnant. Besides Sarah and Dawn (who hopefully pops that kid out soon), there are 2 friends at work that are pregnant, and another one that just found out last week!
So that's all on my end here... I have my gestational diabetes screening next week and my second-last ultrasound. Hope to get some more good pics to share!
Oh, and one more thing... this week, the baby is getting closer to 2 pounds and his eyes are opening. WEIRD. I wonder what he looks at all day?

Karen! You still look like your beautiful self and now have a very cute belly..so there really is a baby in there!?! Either that or you are really starting to let yourself go! I see that you have the "Jimmy" legs? I have yet to experience that, pregnant or not... but my Mom has those really bad and for that reason I refuse to share a bed with her.

You look great! I'm glad to hear things are going well. Only 14 weeks to go...that's exciting. I can't wait until all three of us have our babies and can get together to show them off!
