The Journey of Baby Jones: 8 months

Yes, a little late. But better late than never! This month has brought us quite the little happy munchkin. Brady loooves sitting and playing (err... more like throwing) his toys, and will happily do this until he has thrown everything out of reach. At this point he will either try and roll to the toy, or yell "NANANA" until someone hands something over for him to play with. Yep, still not crawling, but our little bruiser is getting there! The kid can rip off the tray on his highchair with the force of Rambo but can't quite figure out that he needs to push himself up. Seriously, the kid is strong. Anywhoo, he is weighing in around 20lbs. and now starting to transition from his 6-9mo. clothes to 12 months. We have 2 teeth in, with no sign of any more to come at the moment.

Brady has a love-hate relationship with food. He either loves it or he hates it. Most if it he loves, but a few things he still won't have anything to do with (oatmeal). He likes Cheerios and has just started being coordinated enough to put them in his mouth himself. He can feed himself with his bottle (even the glass ones...and those are heavy!) and knows to tip it up to get the very last drops.

Sleeping.. well thats been going pretty well, with the few off nights thrown in for good measure. For the most part he sleeps 8pm-ish till 6am-ish. Lately his bladder has been in overdrive during the night and I've had to change a few soaked diapers in the wee hours of the morning when he wakes up and is P.O.'d because he is wet. He's also taken to sleeping on his belly and so until we find a full-body diaper, we will have to deal with the once-in-a-while pj soakings in the belly area. Guess thats what you get with boys!

Hmm.. let's see, what else... oh! Brady had his first sleepover this month at grammy and grandpa johnny's house! Bob and I had a nice dinner at Left Bank and enjoyed sleeping in (well, not really, my internal clock woke me up at 7am). But Brady did have fun and did not keep grammy and grandpa up too much.
